I would say start by going to crutchfield.com and picking out a little better stuff. The items you chose arent too bad but if you are gonna do it do it right and once. The bandpass box might actually be a little big if you want the rear seat in there. If you want the seat out give it a whirl. Circuitcity.com (or the store) has great displays and there 12" kicker comp vr subs are on sale right now for by one get one free. That is an amazing deal as they go for close to $100 a piece anyway. I run one of them in my jeep and my buddy who has two tens in his truck is now going to buy just one of them and get rid of the tens. You will also need an amp and an amp wiring package. I would also suggest some sort of capacitor to keep things sounding right (supplies the correct voltage at all times). If you order from crutchfield you can call them and their advisors are great. They give you a ton of stuff free that you will need as well.

yah and i doubt that box will fit unless u remove ur back seat or sit it on ur back seat..

ebay has a mtx jeep box.. comes with 2 mtx 4500s.. i think they run like $200.. they box locks into the trunk of the jeep too.. pretty nice setup imo.. a few of my friends run these subs in their cars and they sound great..

i would suggest going to crutchfield.com and finding what you like and see if you can find it on ebay.

great sound

im not sure of exactly all that you have installed for sound, but i wanted to tell ya what works for me. i started with a decent head unit, and added two good speakers on the sound bar for highs, along with decent front dash speakers, but the true heart of my system is the 8" powered bazooka bass tube.
it has its own amp built into it......the hookup is easy......it doesnt take up too much space...(mine is all the way in the rear next to the tailgate behind the rear seat).....and it RUMBLES. I caught mine on sale for around two hundred bucks and it really does provide a good quality sound through out the jeep. they have different sizes and power ratings and i think mine is somewhere in the middle of the class. i know that i couldnt ask for better sound for the price. im under 500 dollars for everything and that is speakers, cd/stereo, and powered tube. just make sure you go with the BAZOOKA brand if you go with any bass tubes cause ive heard other ones that sound like crap compared to what i have. this is the second jeep ive had the same system in and i couldnt be more pleased with it.

A big sub box like that isn't really necisary in a Jeep. Like acostabj said, a Bazooka tube works great. A friend has a 99 with a 10" Bazooka and it does a pretty damn good job. Best thing is, it has a built in amp... and he got it for like $120 on sale at BestBuy.

1 word!!! those speakers are CRAP.. i come from experience with similar to those (at bestbuy they had both.. these and the ones i got, the ones i got sounded better compared to those and they still sounded like crap).. .. get a nice closed/sealed box that has 2 holes but if you dont have the cash for 2 subs get only with 1 speaker.. then later on get the second speaker... I returned them for a single infinity sub since i didnt have the cash for 2 at that time. Simply said that single cheap infinity 12" sub sounded better than both of those!!! I'm currently planning on getting 2 12 square kickers for my TJ I will make a custom box first and then i will get the speakers since i dont knwo if they will fit and a box is easy to modify.

For the Head unit.. get a mp3 head unit unless you are planning on running ipod or a seperate mp3 player. Check places like walmart and target.. usually they have good deals..

this is my setup, 10"audiobahn sub, 5.25" infinity kappa component speakers in the roll bar, Infinity kappa speakers in front, audioban 3,000 watt amp, kennwood heat unit with bluetooth and sirius radio, i used a 6 gauge power cable, gold plated rca cables, 6 gauge ground cable(shorter than 2 feet long), and 12 gauge speaker wire running to the front speakers and the roll bar.

I would like to say if anything spend the extra money on the Headunit. I have the exact same head unit (I didn't buy it came with the car) and I hate it more the Lusfer himself. It is the biggest pain in the ass and the lettering is so small you can't read what your changin on your unit. Ill say this Its a wrangler you can get non special speakers non special sub and a non special amp.

But your headunit is what you have to deal with daily.
I suggestdon't go cheap on this aspect.

Take a look at this one. I love pioneer I have bought nothing else. Its never gone me wrong.

I'm with him on this one.. listen to the man hes one smart fella

Pioneer makes some good sounding stuff.. i got pioneer 5900IB.. i wouldnt recomend it because controls are bad and hard to get used to, you have only 7-8 buttons from which 1 is to exit/back button, another 1 is sorce which has like 4 uses.. you gotta hold it and stuff to get each use, 4 are to move up down left and right through the menus so to do something you gotta go through the menus like crazy to get to it, to change a radio station there arent any 1-2-3 buttons so you gotta use the up-down-left-right buttons to change the stations, again many times you have to hold buttons to get to a secret place. The headunit it self sounds and looks amazing though just you will have hard time getting used to the controls. If i had the choise to do it again.. i'd possibly go with the 4900ib.. it has normal controls while still has the same output.. just lots of less extras such as bluetooth and realtime cool equalizer visualization screens and such.

debruins now it works

as that amp and sub cambo goes.. i honestly wouldnt get it for mine.. 150 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms.. 150 arent that much so it will get you happy and then start distorting everything and will sound bad.. bandpass boxes also wont contribute to anything else but making it a bit louder in exhange for lots of soundquality..with a bandpass box the speaker will hit even harder, like knocking on wood which doesnt sound good at all since it will produce more of a mid instead of the low bass you want.

the wiring kit should be fine altough i would get the kit from ebay.. cheaper.. 8 gauge kit should be in the green up to the 350ish watts range

my recomendations.. spend the money once man because i know you will get this system... in a month you will get anoyed of it craping out on you and will want more and you will get other stuff to help out which still wont be enough.. basically you will end up getting the stuff you should have gotten now.

Go to your local store and listen to their demo setups there..
when looking though... dont worry if its a mono amplifier.. you can allways hook the speakers up in parallel or series (depends on ohm ratings) mono amps are cheaper and i'd recomend you take an advantage.. never get a +2ch amp if you will never use more than 2 channels.. much more expensive and weaker...

i have experience with punch speakers (love them) and also sony xplode speakers... so check them out

As for the visonik sub , you don't need anything that big for such a small car, look on ebay and try to find just a single sub 10" will be fine(i suggest audiobahn and mtx), you can get a nice profile california series amp for a good price, and for a box try to find a "hatchback" or "truck" box since they are small and will fit behind the rear seat, the visonik is too big. the wireing setup will work fine, and the speakers are good for the price, but again i suggest looking on ebay for most of your stuff, you can find a set of infinity or polk component set ups for under $100.

my single 12" infinity sub with a box was under 100 bucks and it was strong enough to make my seats shake with plenty of bass (1200watts and 300rms)

My history teacher told me the same thing, in the early 90's. Said that would be the next greatest need in the USA. You would think that I would have invested in the idea. So many young people willing to loose their hearing, just to be cool. What a loosy excuse, to be hearing impared. :chair: :chair:

my infinity was shaped just like this mtx.. just different specs of course http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/MTX-1...oductDetail.do

okay.. dont get me wrong here.. i'm not saying your subs suck.. they look great.. looks is not the main reason ur getting them for though and i know that.

i my self will be ordering an amp.. kicker kx450.2 (under rated at 450rms.. many are pushing 600ish watts with out any distortion at all and max power 900 watts and again people are pushing over 1200 watts with it safely) I'm getting it from ebay so 170ish shipped to my house..
kenwood is also good.. store price tag is a bit high but its 500rms
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1166840602693

as subs for me.. i haven't decided yet since i first want to make the box (don't want to remove the rear seats so gotta work with limited space)

For you, the boxes you've showed us seemed pretty big so i guess you are looking forward to removing the seat.. Few of my friends have sony xplods and they sound so good. So i'd say 1 15" xplod in a sealed box

15" sony xplod sub.
http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-XS-L153P5-1...QQcmdZViewItem or http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-XPLOD-XS-L1...QQcmdZViewItem

box.. make sure its sealed enclosure or maybe vented but no bandpass (again cheaper from ebay or custom) and NO glass on it either
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sealed-Subwoofer...QQcmdZViewItem
or
http://cgi.ebay.com/15-inch-SUBWOOFE...QQcmdZViewItem

I'm shopping from ebay.. simply take your time, read the discriptions, read the persons feedbacks and you should be safe!!!

The price tag is around the 300 mark which may seem a bit steep.. take your time man no one is rushing you.. do your research and then shop.. share with people (~us.. etc).. look for reviews of the product on yahoo and stuff

in my old TJ i had this JBL amp:
http://jbl.com/car/products/product_...at=AMP&ser=GTS

it perfectly fits under the rear seats.
when i sold the old tj i kept the amp.
last year i replacd the 4 stock speakers with some sony speakers.
sometimes this year i want to replace the stock sub with a beterone. then i will also install the JBL amp under my rear seat again.

in my old tj i had such a subwoofer. it was very loud but needed to much space.
