Switching head units, same adapters?

So my old unit went out due to water damage. It was an Pioneer DEH-P7200HD. I've got a huge road trip coming up tomorrow, and obviously won't be able to get one shipped in time, but I was wondering if this will work.

I presume that Pioneer will probably come with the same wiring harness, so if I get any basic pioneer system, I should be able to plug and play? Or do I need to get the exact same system?

Anybody familiar with this?

If you download the manuals for each online, it will probably show the pinouts on the radio harness.

If anybody wants to know, the answer to this question is, yes, most are compatible, I bought a cheap one from best buy (pioneer as well) worked great.

Actually the overall answer is no....pioneer changes the plugs every other year at least and sometimes every year depending on how high up the model is. If you get lucky, it will match though
