Tapping into the dome light wiring.

Looking to do an install of some Footwell LED lighting on a 08 JK.

I've found threads in here before, but none with an actual write up, and if I tried it without step by step instructions, I would blow the jeep up.

I am looking to get some RED LED's in my foot-wells, and wire them either:
A) so they go off/on with the dome light/doors opening
B) to a switch in my dash so I can turn them on automatically (I would need a write up for that too. Doesn't have to be CRAZY detail. Can be a photo/drawing in MS Paint or something.

I've looked for an hour and cant find anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

I added LEDs into my foot-wells.
1. I connected both Leds together.+ to +, - to -.
2. I found the yellow wire with a white stripe in my passenger foot-well.
3. I added a splicer connector to that wire.
4. I ran a wire from + side of the LEds to the splicer connector.
5. I added a ground wire to the - side and grounded it to the tub bolt by the harness in the foot-well.

That's it.
If you want them to also work on a switch you need to find or run a hot wire. Splice into the hotwire and run it to the + side of your Leds with switch in between to you turn on the flow of power.
