Third brake light wiring question.

I'm getting the lug lights to go on my new set up, and was wondering where the lighting harness comes from in the back, and what I would have to do to mod this up for using with a swing-out bumper.

The wiring harness comes in on the passenger side behind the inner fender! Here's a pic of my brake light.

I just ran the wires down the back side of the swing and enter the fender well at the passenger side! I'll try to get some more pics if you need me to and post them in the morning!

I have the same setup as pictured above. All I did was extend the stock wires that go through the tail gate and it tied them to the swing arm with zip ties. just left a little slack in the corner so it can swing out and it looks/works great.

Thanks! Yes it's long enough! I'll get pics tonight when I get home from work on how I ran the wires and post them tonight or in the morning!

can't you just tap into the factory 3rd brake light wiring?

Thats what I did but since I have a swing out rear bumper all I did was extend the wires so I could swing out the tire w/o having to open the rear gate.

Here's the pics of my third brake light wires!
First I drilled a hole in the back of plate were the tire mounts!

Then I ran the wires down the swing inside wire loom and zip tied to the arm of the swing!

I left a little extra near the hinge so it would open without interference!

Then I went up inside the inner fender well to tap into the factory wires!

That's just how I did mine, others I think have spliced into the wires that come out from the tail gate! Hope this helps and good luck!
