TJ steering wheel audio controls WORKING!

Ever since my last vehicle, I've really been missing my steering wheel audio controls. I still had my PAC SWI-JACK adapter laying around, so I figured I'd put it to use in my '00 TJ. After a bunch of emails back and forth with Brian at PAC, I was able to get it all wired up and working the other day. It's actually a pretty simple setup; just 4 wires and a pretty easy programming procedure.

I plan to either mount a second set of cruise buttons on the dash (even though I'd hardly use them) or mount a small switch on the underside of the steering column so the buttons on the wheel could either control the cruise OR the stereo. I'm also getting a local vinyl shop to make up some stickers for me so I can label the buttons accordingly. Shouldn't be more than about $10 to have them do it.

If anyone needs any additional information, feel free to ask!

Awesome, thanks steev! I'll be trying this in my 2001 TJ with the Axxess ASWC-1 harness.

How much alteration from your original install do you think would be involved if I wanted to do this to my stock '06 TJ? I’ve got the factory RBK radio (v2) and the same controls in your setup on my steering wheel.

THanks,

Is there a way I add cruise control to a Jeep that didn't come with one from the factory? If so, I am interested. I would like cruise control when we go to the beach which is a 5 hour interstate drive from where I love.
