trying to install a radio in 2012 w infinity

hey guys im trying to install a aftermarket clarion stereo in my 2012 jeep with the infinity system. I can get the radio to power on but get no sound...on factory radio you have the big plug and the square smaller plug. I know to hook up the bigger one but where does the smaller square one connect. I have no other connectors on my aftermarket harness and there is a little wire by the attenna I have no idea where goes. quite frustrated at this point and dunno what to do. any help would be great

Do you have the Premium Audio i.e. is there a subwoofer in the back?

Which harness are you using?

The little wire by the antenna, is it blue? If it's the one I'm thinking of, I don't know what it is but I cut it and taped it up, it didn't seem to make a difference to me.

I can't remember the factory connections now, but what colour are the wires running into the small plug? Are they paired i.e. solid grey and grey with a stripe, purple and purple/stripe, white and white/stripe etc?

Yes I have the infinity system. The wires look green and green orange. The plug is right next to the large one

OK, if you have premium audio with the amplifier, you can only connect two speaker outputs because there are only two input channels on the amp. You need to make sure that you have the FL and FR outputs from the head unit connected to the RL and RR speaker connections on the harness; you'll lose the ability to fade from front to rear.

I'm a little confused about the small plug, I'm thinking it's probably the connector for the SWC converter. Did you get a harness with SWC connection?

Your amplifier only has two input channels, left and right. The factory head unit and the amp talk to each other via CANBUS to fade front-rear at the amplifier; when you replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket unit, you lose that CANBUS communication and so you lose that ability to fade. That said, if you've wired all speaker outputs from the head unit I would have expected you to have some sound still, have you tried fading on the HU from full front to full rear?

On my stereo the fronts are white + white w/ black stripe and grey + grey w/ black stripe, I assume it will be the same on yours.
