Uconnect 130 capabilities

Need some help from you guys as Jeep customer service seems to be as much in the dark as I am?

Just bought a 2014 JKU Sport with the Uconnect 130. I have the connectivity package and bluetooth. I have a new Iphone 5s which connects with no problem to the bluetooth system using the phone feature. Can"t seem to play any music unless I connect the phone to the USB port via wire. I thought the 130 supported a wireless connection to the radio. Jeep Customer Service flip flops depending on who you are talking to. I have also had conflicting information from the dealership in my area. Some of their personnel say it does support a wireless connection, others say no. What have you guys experienced? Thanks for the help.

I have the same setup as you in my 2013 Sport S. I can play music through bluetooth from my Note 3 no problem.I have used music stored on the phone, Pandora, and Google Music all to play through bluetooth.

Not sure how to help you set yours up though.

Yes that's mainly what I wanted to play, pandora and music purchased through the apple store. I'll wait and see what others have to say, thanks.

Uconnect 130 capabilities

O.K. figured it out. All I did was Reboot my Iphone and it works perfectly. Connected right up without any wires. My dealer told me you could not use it without using wire. Uconnect customer service told me to wait for an update. Whats with these people?.

I have had the IPhone 4, 4S and the 5, all have needed to be rebooted at least once a month for issues other than just BT related issues. Sometime the phone doesn't ring or give me any text message notifications. Another thing is that you can look and see how many apps are still working in the background and close them. I just find it faster to just do a reboot.
Oh, and you do know that the dealer is always correct, right.

Glad you got it working.

Sometimes I accidentally play music off my phone (through bluetooth) instead of my iPod (USB cable), because the voice control misunderstands me.
The bluetooth doesn't sound as good through the stereo, but at least it always picks up where it left off... unlike the USB connection.

My dealer didn't even know that you could voice control your iPod with the 130.
I was going to show them, but I figured it was their job to know.

I play it off of my droid without issues. I have noticed however, if I have a USB drive inserted in the center console, it does have a hard time getting the music from the BT. I have to have something running sound on my BT before I can select it on the radio. Minor nuisance, I have trained myself to do it this way.
