VDP Soundbar

Alright, so I know I saw like a million threads on the wiring for a VDP soundbar...however; the question I have has yet to be answered.

I am very dumb when it comes to wires and such, so when I read the instructions with the bar, and they say "driver side speaker-left green/red are + and red is -" This means nothing to me, lol. I know people were saying something about connecting the dome wires to the battery and what not. So I have no idea where the wires for the speakers go.

Also, the directions say to reverse the wires for me...due to me having a '98 and my sound bar will be in the back

Thanks for anyhelp.

P.S I was searching the forums for possible pictures of other people who have wired their VDPs, but found none.

Or if there is an adapter plug...so I can just use the factory wires and get an adapter for my VDP bar, that'd be just as helpful naturally haha.

may not be the correct way---but I cut and wired into the harness that came to the back for my original sound pods. All my wiring than was only changed BEHIND the driver's seat.

As for the dome lights--stupid me didn't realized they are "switched" by pivoting them in the receptacle. Hooked them up and thought they were bad in a hurry--checked a couple different times--was maybe a week before I figured out that I had power----but they wouldn't work until switched or pivoted so that they came on.

as far as positive and negative---match wires----if there is a black line on it and it is pink match to whatever side solid color and black line would be correct. sounds confusing even to me--how about if the pink and pink with black line or strip went to driver's side match to whatever color they say is the driver's side. Also realize that it depends which side of the rollbar the soundbar is mounted.

Hope this helps.

Well, about an hour later I figured it all out and it is mounted an good to go. I just used the old wires and spliced the new ones into the old wires. Basically tested each wire to see which matched up with which haha. Took longer prob, but I figured it out lol.
