What's holding your sub down?

I have a 10" kicker sub in a small aftermarket box. When I had it installed, the shop put some velcro on the bottom, but it sucked and all came off after a couple weeks.

I could probably get better velcro strips, but wondering what others are using. Bungie? Straps? Just looking for ideas.

Not usually a problem on road, off road it falls over and slides around.

get a few "L" brackets and bolt it down. my sub never moved due to its weight(175lbs). you could use some adjustable straps to hold it down if you dont want to drill holes in the tub. i know on my '99 there were a few mounting bars(very small) on the floor in the back.

I don't keep mine tied down. I like to keep it and my amp easy to get out in case I hit Any wet trails.

However, I would think maybe remove the carpet (if you hve any) and stick the velcrow strait to the metal, so it won't come off. What the guy above me said would probly be best, L brackets

I like that idea!

I do want to be able to remove it if necessary, if I need to haul something back there. That's how I screwed up the original velcro -- bringing my tires home. I had to get the sub out of the way and move it all the way forward when I folded the seat down.

Do you have just one strap holding it in place?

my shallow pioneer sub box is under my back seat, held down by the seat itself. cut the 2 middle support bars out from under the seat foam and this sub fit perfect in between the 2 outer support bars.

it will never move. just went in this past weekend, so i need to take it out and bedline the box in case of water getting on the floor, the wood for the box won't go bad.

plus since the sub fires down into the floor, it sounds amazing and hits hard even at lower volumes. at high volumes, i could charge for massage services, lol.

I would love to see pictures of that.
I have a 10" flat Pioneer that I am about to install and I have been trying to figure out what to do with it.

I have the 10" flat pioneer paired with the Rockford fosgate mono amp. Sounds good. Now if I could get a couple 6.5s and the
Fosgate 4 channel amp.
