Where did you mount your CB?

I'm shopping for a CB for my JK and can't find the size I want. Looking for something 1" tall and same width as my radio so I can mount it directly under the deck. So, that leaves me with the typical 2-3" tall cb's and finding somewhere to mount that is preferably flush mount or out of the way. Also don't want to take up console or glovebox storage. Debating mounting under the steering wheel flush with the back hidden behind the panel. I've seen them mounted on top of the dash or rearview mirror... that's not for me.

Any ideas or pictures?

The Uniden PRO510XL is your best bet. It is about 1 3/8" tall.

That's looking like the way I'll be going. I'm thinking of running the external speaker plug to the aux in for my deck if its hard to hear on the road with the top off. The jk just doesn't have any good places for a CB and don't want any more clutter making it even more difficult to keep clean.

My wife likes to listen to the radio, when we are out on the trails, it keeps her mind of off the trails we are running. So, I got an external speaker and mounted it in front of the shifter.

I'll decide after I get the cb installed as to how I'm gonna hear it. But I don't want any external speakers taking up space, where am I gonna put my change if I put the speaker in front of my shifter?

I have another idea of replacing the dome light with a speaker for the cb and wiring the dome light to 2 led strips, one pointing forward and one back. Only time will tell...

Well, I don't get no change, the wife takes it. You're right, time will tell. They don't say J-ust, E-mpty, E-very, P-ocket for nothing.
