Mine is mounted behind the counsole. But It is close to the floor and behind me. I like it cause its out of the way tho. I dont use it much in fact I need a new antenna for it. The mount is there but someone unscrewed the antenna for it

I thought about getting a radio like that but I already had mine and couldn't justify droping another C note for a new radio. It would take up alot less room though and Will be what I buy for my next jeep cb. Nice install 02

Yeah she 's always complaining about being pregnat so then I feel bad and end up giving in. what have I done...
not your fault she got preggo lol...... but you have to get the CB installed cause if your out wheelin and her water breaks you need it to call 911. gosh women dont see it our way at all. i said women not JEEP WOMEN. there is a difference.
One more very good and easy location to mount a CB to is to the center rollbar hoop. Mounted facing forward, the speaker is close to your ear so you can easily hear it at freeway speeds and the microphone drops straight down so it can sit in one of the cup holders. I just used a pair of sheet metal screws to attach the bracket to the hoop. You can even see what channel it's on in the mirror, the numbers are just reversed... no big deal.
I later made an overhead console but until I made that, the center rollbar hoop worked really well for a CB location. I don't have a picture here at work with me but I can post it later if anyone really wants to see it.

02Prove-where's the actual CB located? I can't figure it out?? I'd like to do something like this.
The 4wheel club I want to join requires a CB to trip with them. I wonder if a hand-held would qualify? I have a nice set of 12 mile Cobras.
2000 Sahara,33x12.50/15 Bigfoot XT's,Front & Rear Limited Slip Diff's, 9500lb Warn Xi Winch, Air-raid CAI, 4" Susp. Lift, sway bar suspension disconnects, Pro-Comp ES9000 shocks all around, Full roll cage, M.O.R.E. off-road steering box brace, Rear "wilderness" brand rack with tire, fuel cans and jack carrier with bumper, Warn front Bumper/Fender flairs, , Pro-Comp windshield lights, Hard/Soft tops, Smittybilt "C.R.E.S." cargo restraint system, CB, ...blah, blah, blah...
I just mounted mine to the back of the console. Not permanent, but will get around to mounting it up on the windshield frame. That should work, my radio's too big to sit on the dash. Thanks for the idea...
Here what I did,,,,,,,,,,,,
The brain to the CB in behind the glove box next to the fuse box,
the brain to the 2m/440 is under dash, drivers side next to brake pedal where it goes threw fire wall
