Are those actually 6" subs or are they mid bass woofers?

Modpods aren't very large, if those 6's are actually subs they may be too deep... my 6.5" component mids were too deep for them, I had to go with Q-forms kick panel enclosures..

And I'd amp the mids/highs with the 4ch and get a mono amp for the little subs..

How he has it would give him a better sound stage and just use the sound bar as fill for the rear seat.

I agree, but most people don't want to have the soundstage... They want the dash and sound bar speakers equally loud...

I have Q-Forms kick panels with amped components and no sound bar speakers.. We must be from the same school of thought..

My DD is 2013 Frontier:
OEM Head unit
MS-8 Sound processor
FRONT-CDT 3-way 6x9
REAR- CDT 2-way 5.25
SUB- 10' JL
2 x 4ch. AMP
1-pushing the fronts and rear
1-pushing the sub

that is the reason why I have so many speakers lying around. The jeep trips me up because I don't know how to compensate for the open air with the lack of speaker locations.

Im open to any and all ideas.

Look into Q-forms kick panel enclosures for the 6.5" component set. They give awesome imaging and staging considering the lack of acoustics in the Jeep..

They're a little pricey but worth it!! All I have is comps in the kicks amped and my sub.. Even topless at 70mph the audio is great!

Installed the mod pods with Kicker 40CSS654 6-1/2" CS. The sound is night and day better.

Question: With such a shallow windshield I cannot aim the tweetwers into the windshield. What are your recommendations for height and direction of the tweeters?

Did you ever say what year the Jeep was? I'm assuming it is a JK, with tweeters in the windshield. But, with mod pods, it sounds more like a YJ.

My tweeters are in kickpanels.. right aimed at driver nose left aimed at passenger nose essentially. Great imaging.
