it hits really hard for the amperage. not shallow bass like you would see in an 8". it shakes the hell out of my whole jeep. and discrete!

my sub hits harder than that. and why are u testing it without it being mounted somewhere? bass speakers work only when in an enclosure...

its a test to show the strength of the sub, the quality, and craftsmanship.

and im not gonna argue with anyone on a forum. arguing on a forum is like winning the special Olympics, in the end you are still a retard.

there is no argument, first off. Secondly, my sister works with special needs kids, so that's not funny. And third off, the test doesn't show the strength, quality, or craftsmanship of the sub. It just shows you kinda dont know anything about audio components. With a subwoofer, you need to have something to seperate the backwave that is produced. (an enclosure) Otherwise the sub woofer will look and sound like yours in the video.

Im not gonna sit here and argue over car audio with you. You know nothing about car audio. Car audio is what i do in my spare time. To test a sub its best to do outside of an enclosure because you can see the coil movement and see if the sub starts to smoke and know when there is distortion. That cant be done when its in an enclosure.

Lets talk civilized, so the OP can learn something, instead of this thread being shutdown by mods. You said to test a sub woofers condition, you need to be able to see the coils. I agree. Can't you flip the sub around in an enclosure to verify the coils are good/bad? What I was talking about was testing the sound, not testing the working condition. When a sub woofer isn't in a proper enclosure, the diaphragm vibrates erratically, as seen in your video.

not the best pics. but you get the idea. there was a writeup either on WF or on JF that i used for the console idea.

console. still have a little space for change/head unit face plate

sub (drivers side)

amps in trunk (sub amp on left, soundbar amp on right)

Ok, I've got a few things. The remote wire and the power cord don't reach where I want them to, can I go buy another remote wire and a power cord, ass them to the current ones with electrical tape?

Also is this the ground? There are 2 random skrews under the back seat.

if they are not long enough you can get a wire kit that has everything you need, power wire ground wire remote turn on rca cables and a inline fuse for the power wire.

hook up the ground to any screw that screws into the body. wire brush it so the ground touches metal and not paint

I grounded my amp to the passenger side rear fender-well seat bracket. Just had to wire brush some paint to expose the metal.
