I haven't booked yet, getting ready to in the next couple of days. There's several places with cabins and some just plain old hotels up there, so I'm just going to pick some place close and cheap-ish.

I came into work this morning and got some really sucky news. It seems that the conference they are sending me to (on my calendar for September 19 -23) is actually in August, August 15 - 19 to be exact. The office administrator put it on my calendar (back in January) in the wrong stinkin' month. I told them I couldn't go that weekend because I had made plans. The department director "suggested" to me that not only could I go to the conference that weekend, but in fact, I really wanted to go. I had a suggestion for him, but since I kinda like (need) this job, I held my tongue and just said Ok.

So, it looks like I'm not going to make this trip. I'm really sorry I'm going to miss it. I was looking forward to meeting the AZ crew and getting out again. Maybe next time.......

Damn, Unlimited that sucks. I hear ya on your newly found "Enthusiasm" for said conference. I'm sure there will be other times that we will all try to get together.

Tiny, what did you guys come up with on a cost for rooms or is everyone camping. Also is it very hot there? Would a rig be OK with 33's, 3:73's that are open. Yes, I have no lockers. Currently my jeep is all hat and no cowboy.

I have 31's and no lockers. So, you're golden. I'm staying in a hotel. I know Chuck and Eric are staying at Chuck's cabin, and Brian was camping. I'm not sure what Jack's up to, but I sent him a list of hotels to look at.

Are you thinking about going? I just googled hotels in Big Bear Lake. They've got a good range of them.

So I can't remember who all had confirmed before, but I don't want to camp if I'm going to be the only one.

Hey, I heard the Fire Danger level in SoCal was raised to Extreme today, does this effect the run in any way?

Looks like I'll be working in San Rafael for the next 4 weeks, so I'm not going to be able to make it. Mabey in the fall if you guys go again. Seems like someone is always going up there.

I'm getting ready to leave for my conference tonight, so I'll be off the board 'till Sunday/Monday. I just wanted to say that I hope you all have a great time. I sure wish I was going to be up there with you.

Maybe we can do it again in the spring?

yeah, the reason I asked that is sometimes they will close areas to all uses espeacially in areas that are high impact like socal.

I am currently on the East Coast with no hope of being back before Saturday. I then have an international visitor coming in on Sunday. Sorry, but I'm out .

There are a large number of trails in the territory, including John Bull, a pic from Dirtopia:

A good starting point for trail info: San Bernardino County at Dirtopia

Not much of a question.... I'll be there.
dirtopia is a awesome site, my friend Travis is the one that put it together and he is an awesome person. so go to his site.
