Talking Martinez Canyon Friday?

We're looking for something to do after Tucson Thursday, but we don't know the area. Any ideas or, better yet, somebody looking for something to do Friday?

Tentatively thinking of looking for the easier way to the Coke Ovens or seeing if Martinez Cabin Road is really closed. We like to explore, sightsee, maybe rock hound.

Stock Rubi 4-door with a wench. And a winch.

Martinez cabin is closed they put a gate up like 2 months ago. Ive ran all the way up to it and you can still wheel the trail but where the gate is its about 10 min walk to make it up to the cabin

The easier way to the coke ovens is off florence kelvin highway. Its just graded dirt road most the way with 1 quarter mile stretch of a mud pit that cant be avoided because of trees and a fence. Its kind of a boring ride cause its just a dirt road. Only fun part is the mud and it sux washing it all off afterward
