New Jeep owner in Tempe

I recently purchased a 2012 Unlimited Sport and am looking for a local 4 wheel club to go out with and learn to 4 wheel. Anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance for any help.

Virtual jeep club has lots of info and trail runs almost every weekend. They are really great at helping new members.

Welcome, fellow Jeeper from Tempe

I have found that this forum is good for information, but be prepared to find it yourself and put up with the "didn't you search first" reply.
As previously stated by other AZ residents I too recommend the Arizona Virtual Jeep Club. Nice local peeps that are ready to and happy to help us newbies.
Congratulations on the new addition. What color is she? I'm sure we travel the same roads daily. Mine is a black lifted TJ license plate "mamasTJ"

There is an active group of folks on the Expedition Portal from AZ. If you don't mind going out with a mixed group of vehicles, you might find some of the trips fun. I try to post one trip a month suitable for most rigs under my other username "Crawler#976" from my old Marlin Crawler days.

We'll be taking a very scenic trail ride shortly after we take delivery of the new Orange Crush Rubicon. It's break in trip will be on Broken Arrow in Sedona.

Actually we are getting away from that, and most forums are a lot worse than us when it comes to that.

Thanks all for the warm welcome & the helpful info.

I am just looking to get out and learn. I am not new to 4 wheeling as I spent a long time being a passenger in my old man's 1974 Toyota Landcruiser. I now have a toy of my own and I am eager to learn how to properly play with it.

@SunDevil93 She's white and still stock. Just ordered a pair of rock bars for her and amd probably going to be doing a 3in lif in the coming weeks. I think I have seen that license plate and jeep in the area. I am off of Elliot & McClintock.

When are you coming up to Sedona? I run West Side Deli in the Safeway shopping center in west Sedona, drop on in! Look for the turquoise YJ out front, my name is Chris.

@Wildcat-good to hear. If only everyone were as nice as you! Even if you are the enemy.....jk
@DMFNJ-24601-Cool. Our first house was in the Oasis (now McClintock/Southern). I'll look for you at future meets locally. The Subway meet on AVJC sounds like a good idea, I hope it catches on.
@cronz-Chris has a mighty fine bumper on that YJ (I presume)... To 'splain: he bought my stock rear bumper.

The Orange Crush JKU Rubicon moved into the "Production scheduled" phase - got our second e-mail today! Once it's here I have one project to do before it's ready to go.

As I recall the Safeway sells RedRock passes, so we usually stop there.
