Any interest in a Meet & Greet? Could be for meeting up and wrenching, or helping a guy install a lift, or meet for wings and beer. Thoughts?

I'm down now that's it's cooled down. I'm not the best at planning so someone set something up and I'll be there.

Hi

I'm Tom and I live in Chandler
I just picked up my first jeep

04 wrangler 4" lift

Anyone know of a good shop in the Phoenix area?
I would like to have some things replaced & checked out

Are there trips fairly often? I'm anxious to get out

Welcome! pics?

LetzRoll Offroad is a great shop (no personal experience) in the East Valley. There will be some trips coming up, just watch the "Tucson Crew" thread.

Thanks for the info I appreciate it

I made a appointment for wed with them.
have a short arm 4" lift and I think some of the joints might be loose.
I went to Desert Rat for a inspection last week. I found a jam nut loose after they looked at it which they didn't even find so I don't have much confidence in what they told me if you know what I mean.

I am a mechanic by trade, given. not in the Automotive industry.

I have always found it best to drop off what ever I need looked at and come back later in the afternoon or the next day. Mark down the milage and leave it on the dash and walk away. This way, if I do get a rookie, he has the time to ask the shop foreman to come double check his work.

However gear heads are passionate about there passions... Look in the parking lot, see a bunch of Toyota's? Take your Jeep else where. I know I prefer having someone working on my Jeep that spends their weekends looking at theirs.

On a side not, got back from Moab a few weeks ago. Went for 5 days, then again for 2 (for work) what a hell of a place (all puns intended)

On a evan further side note, your jeep lifted yet?

If that location is empty we will be camping there. Feel free to join us. Heading up in the morning and wheeling all day Saturday and some Sunday before we head back.

In Moab we did;

Hells Revenge, 2 times. ran Hells Gate and Escalator, however I did not do Escalator.
Fins and Things, 2 times with Porcupine Ridge once.
Moab Rim, all of it.
Kane Creek. Hell of a trek.
Poison Spider, 2 times. Forwards then backwards including all the lookouts.

We are going up for Easter Jeep Safari but staying an extra week.

I might go do the loop north of pleasant next Sunday if anyone wants to tag along. You can do it in a stock jeep without getting any damage. Very scenic but boring for "kwralers". Ill be at the Wild Horse at 8. should be back at the wild horse by 1 or 2.

I'm meeting a couple people at Lake Pleasant and Carefree Hwy on Christmas day at noon. We are going to do a very senic loop north of Lake Pleasant that a stock jeep with small tires can do. A lot of graded roads but a little bit of fun stuff. Its pretty much an intro to what your Jeep can do. Let me know if you want to tag along or maybe just wave if we see you out on the trails.

Went out to trail 10 near and to bulldog canyon then had some fun at the playground today at the end :-) first time out with my rubicon and loved it. The RE lift is amazing and I couldn't be happier also saw a few other jeeps out the and talked to them. The group I saw said they were from the virtual jeep club so I'll have to check that out. Anyways had a blasty blast. I'll be going again this week whomever wants to join.

Haha my gf and I went alone and ran into them on the trail. Only talked to two of them for a few minutes so I'm not gonna pass judgement. But thank you for the heads up always appreciated.
