Wife and I are coming up to Sedona for a week in mid April. Where can I get the best maps/info for trails in Sedona, Jerome, Cottonwood, Flagstaff areas?? Haven't found much online...

Any help would be appreciated. :punk:

The Guide to Arizona Back Roads and Trails by Charles A Wells is perhaps the best available.

If you'd like more local knowledge, PM me with what type of activities you'd like to do, and I'll make some suggestions based on that.

Prescott is also an area that should be on your list. The headquarters of the Overland Journal and Adventure Trailer are here, and we have miles of great trails in the surrounding National Forest. I've been exploring and doing day trips in central and northern AZ since 1976, and I haven't covered all of the roads!

Thanks Mark! We're confirming tomorrow on our condo for the week. She's ordering the book now! We have his So. Cal. book for this area, and it's great. I'll be in touch, and Prescott is on the list for sure!

Hit up Nena at Barlow Jeep Rentals, she's got unrivaled knowledge of the area trails, and great detailed, turn by turn trail maps. Also stop by the West Side Deli in the Safeway shopping center to say hi and pick up some sandwiches to take on the road!

JeepTrailInfo.com :: Trail Maps & Guidebooks

Scroll down to 'Sedona/Verde Valley'

They charge you a couple bucks per map in .pdf format, but they were extremely useful for me during my recent trip to Sedona a couple of weeks ago.

If you're interested, I can e-mail the three that I paid for to you. Give me your e-mail in a PM and I can send you 'Sedona Jeep Trip Planner', 'Broken Arrow', and 'Diamondback Gulch'.

Not bad for a first post, if I do say so myself.:dance:

Yeah, we saw a bunch of hiking trails and hikers! We got to do several offroad trails and Broken Arrow twice, with some extra play time!!! :dance:

Headed home to Palm Springs this morning.
