Nice.

Since I can't go 4-wheeling for a while, I'm going to be bed-lining my Jeep this weekend.

so tempting.....especially since I could call in sick to work, and let the wife think I'm still going to work....

I would need to allocate time to clean the jeep before she got home though...

I will find out today or tomorrow if the florence run will be pushed back by one week. Due to someone and not getting their parts in a timely manner.

Florence last update for dates is 18th and 19th of May. There will be no more changes to the dates.

For those that think they can't do elvis trail, please think again. Elvis is a great trail with hard obstacles that you can try but also a trail that has bypasses for everything. So come on out and enjoy some different trails and scenery.

I need a lift, wheels, tires, bumpers, winch, compressor, etc....all the add on stuff us jeepers hate to love so much.

Specifically, I've never gone to a show like this with the intention of purchasing any products. now that I have the new jeep I will likely see what kind of show pricing and products are out there. ARB is a title sponsor for the show and if they have good discounts for the show, I may pick up a compressor, look at their fridges, etc. same with other vendors. AEV will be there and I intend on getting some of their gear soon.

So you have a plan on how you want to build your jeep. Have you talked with other vendors 1st to see where the prices are at?

What AEV gear you looking for?

Just curious is all. But like to see people with a plan on which direction they want to go and ask questions on things before they drop money on stuff that other people are already using so they can get real world feedback.

Oh it won't be a 45 minute trail this time.

Oh I am pretty much 100% decided on the major items. I do have a plan for the build. Once I sell my full size truck in the next month or two I am taking that money and buying the AEV 3.5 lift, 5 Pintlers in Argent, BFG AT in 315/70 size, AEV front and rear bumpers.

At the show I just want to talk to the AEV guys and Jeep guys that will be there. look at what other cool little items are available (most of which I have come across on the web). I know I want an ARB twin compressor soon and some day an ARB 50QT fridge.

I have trek armor seat covers on order, CB gear arriving via the brown and purple santas this morning, and a few minor mods (ACE sliders, gorilla lug nuts, de-badging, silver hood sticker versus black) already completed.

After the first round of big mods will be a SPOD system and some lighting. I am definitely getting a Rigid 50" across the windshield, and probably replace the stock fog lights with some Amber Duallys or D2's in a driving pattern.

Of course while these are planned out, there will always be smaller things to do in between.

I'm going to wait a few years and see what starts breaking before I think about Dynatrac axle housings/ RCV axles/ 5.7L HEMI conversions etc...lol.

I've been looking at jeeps for at least 2 years. Test drive one over a year ago and made my decision. Was going to wait until later in 2013 to plunk down some more cash, but with financing as cheap as it is I went for it. Glad I did.

With my 4Runner I built and fabbed most of my own stuff. This time, I'm just going to buy bolt ons and install them myself. I need to focus more of my time on getting out with the family and introducing my daughter to offroading.

BTW - If anyone ever needs help with stuff let me know, If I have a chance to get away from the family I always love getting my hands dirty. My dad is a body tech and I grew up working on cars and building stuff. I'm not an expert by any means, but have enough skills to get most things done.

Look at some of the other 50" inch led bars out there. I have a lifetime led 50" bar with bolt on mounts and only paid 750.00 for both.

Just my opinion but I would not run AEV lift in AZ. There brackets hang low and rocks will love to eat them. Most in town are running Rock krawler or Rubicon Express. You should come see what others are running before you pull the trigger on things. Just saying.

Yah its only 45 mins when i run it by myself but im pretty well equipped so i dont have any trouble making it through elvis even taking the harder lines. There are bypasses on elvis but accoring to azvjc theyre actually illegal bypasses because they leave the wash which is the designated trail. I dont care if people use em but just saying use at your own risk. And youre also supposed to have a state trust land permit as its state trust land. Just a heads up

I dont think johnnys jeep is good for elvis though. He could use the bypasses but ive heard theyre illegal and whats the point of even doing elvis if youre guna use the bypasses anyway
