I'd suggest you come by the meet and greet today, if you can make it.
You'll get tons of ideas from other people's Jeeps and there will be some vendors there too.

Sorry I didn't get back to you, actually I was @ the meet & greet.
It was kind of a local grouping of people in the Tucson area from several forums.

(As a WF moderator I'd probably get yelled at for mentioning other forums so I can't tell you they were mostly from Jeep owner's club, JKOwners forum and 4XAZ.com)

I'm trying to get more Tucson WF members involved so hopefully we'll have more soon.

In the mean time, there is a husband and wife team out at D-M (Paveslave & Snochick) as well as GonzobobH who are forum members. You can check out their posts and see some of their mods to get some ideas. While you are at it, you can check out my profile and my posts to see how my rig is set up.

I wanted to say thanks to joek4xaz for hosting the meet and greet and to unclesamsmisguidedchild for keeping the WF up to date on events.
There were over 40 Jeeps there (I don't know the exact count) and they raised over $1000 for the wounded warrior program.

Thanks guys for a job well done!

Just want to thank everyone that came out to the Meet and Greet. There were a total of 52 Jeeps at the event.

Also a special thanks to everyone that donated raffle prizes.

When is the next meet and greet? Are they held often? I don't have any co-workers/friends in the local area that are into jeepn/off-roading. I would like to find some decent trails to hit up on the weekends. Thx.

Hi there! I don't have my jeep yet, but it "should" be here around the end of this month/ beginning of November. I'm totally new to the jeep world and I cant wait to meet some people in Tucson to ride (or drive...that was the motorcyclist talking) with and to show me the ins and outs

Welcome

Tryin' to get the Tucson folks on WF more active.
Unclesamsmisguidedchild (he really needs a shorter name ) is probably the best point of contact for this area on this forum.

Welcome aboard. I am guessing that you ordered a new JK? Unlimited or 2 door? Rubicon or not? Color? Do you mind getting it scratched? What do you ride?

What part of town?

Too much too soon?

Hahaha it's all good!
Yeah I ordered a (deep breath) 2013 commando green unlimited rubicon. Lol. I don't mind scratches. Actually, I'm looking forward to getting rid of the xrunner because its way too pretty to get scratched and its a constant source of anxiety any time its in a parking lot. As for the jeep, it's made to be roughed up. I can't wait.
I ride a 2006 Honda CBR1000RR. Blue and yellow.
And I live on the west side... Speedway and silverbell area.

I agree that the Tucson jeepers need to get more jeepier. I have my JK for a few weeks and have been waving my ass off. I've only had one fellow jeeper acknowledge. Come on!! Anyways, looking forward to seeing what's up at any upcoming events or meet and greets in the old pueblo!

I would rather have them take their time and do it somewhat right the 1st time.

I know the 12's were having problems with missing skids and some line under the hood were not clamped on. Go over with fine tooth comb when you get it.

Yeah. True dat. I was reading about some problems out of the box that the 12s were having. Hopefully jeep buffed them all out on the 13s. But I will be going over it completely when I get it.... One day. Until then, I'll just be lurkin the forums, absorbing all I can.
