Because it gives people a chance to try things to see if they can do them. If they can't do it then there is the bypass to it.

Thanks for the information. Are there trails safe enough for a stock jeep?

I have seen a stock tj do elvis before, they just did the bypasses. Jackhandle I am not sure since I have not run it before.

If your jeep cant make it past the 1st obstacle you might as well just turn around on elvis. When did lower woodpecker close and why?

\

I have seen a razor do the bypass on the 1st obstacle.

Lower woodpecker closed almost 2 years ago due to the petroglyphs that are by the 1st part.

U mean the easy dirt bypass? Or the easiest line on the left side of the 1st obstacle? The easy "bypass" line on the left side of the 1st obstacle isnt too bad but your gona need the "illegal" bypasses at 2 and 3 if you cant make one of the harder lines at the 1st obstacle. Any quad or 4wd vehicle can do elvis if u use the bypasses but then its no fun anyway. Might as well drive box canyon. If you really wana have fun on elvis id suggest 35's and at least 1 locker 2 preferably.

We'll be running 23 if static allows.

Probably be out or on our way out by 3:30 especially since we are starting so early. Have fun and stay safe.

Hey guys, sorry nobody could make it to the car show today. There were only 4 Jeeps (one of them from the dealership), a Toyota Land Cruiser and 2 pickups representing the Rock Crawler/4WD/Jeep category.

There was an absolutely immaculate 1980 CJ-5 that was totally awsome that should have gotten the award but for some reason they gave it to me.

Has anyone ever attempted to get a creek turned into an official trail in AZ? I was doing some exploring this weekend and found and walked a good portion of a dry creek that would impress folks with full blown buggies. Most of it looks doable with at least one locker, but there is a couple of spots, I think most would need a winch.
If anyone has any ideas or info please let me know.

Is it private property, state or federal land? That would point you in the right direction.

Its US Forest Service land. Probably impossible to get it turned into an actual trail without lots of paperwork.
Does anyone know President Obama, maybe he likes off roading and would help us.
