Good time yesterday, weather seemed to cooperate with us. Best part of the day was watching the flat billers.

Just in case anyone is wondering, Lower Mansfield Canyon has changed a lot in the last couple months. I was there yesterday, trees are down, places where there were obstacles are now different obstacles and some obstacles have become impassable. Good luck to you all who are going next weekend. I will be hunting so I cant go with.

I had a hunch, and confirmed it with Google. My group of friends calls them "Bros".

Hey Guys, haven't checked in for a while. How is every one? Was looking for some wheeling partners as most of my trips have been solo. I work nights on the weekends 1900-0730, so Sunday morning at 0800, or beginning of the week runs would be amazing if anyone knows of anything planned. Also looking for night runs, not really had a chance to put my lights to the test.

They claimed they were just out testing their "new" 4runner. They tried spotting some of our group as we hit the bottom of 3 feathers but no one wanted any of their directions. So head flatbiller wanted to show us up with his 6000 yota. He took the 2nd easiest line down and then up the crack. Then the 4runner took the easiest line down, stalled like 5 times then went up the crack. That is where head flatbiller spotted him wrong and the passenger doors landed on a rock. We were all laughing at the top and making comments. One of the girls in their group just kept giving us dirty looks.

The way they were setup the one toy could have done almost any line at 3 feathers. But it was pretty obvious he had no clue. Running beadlocks and never even aired down. No winch, no tow straps, just beer and a super soaker.

It is still doable though. Dont let me dissuade anyone. It made it interesting to see the new lines that had to be taken.

Count me in as a part of this Tucson Crew! Just got my first Jeep, traded in my lifted Titan for it, its a 2013 JKU sport in black. Right now I'm looking into an AEV 2.5" lift to start with and to get some 35's under it. Anyways, I look forward to meeting you all and learning from you!

Welcome to the crew, things will be picking up as the temps cool off.

Here's whay we are looking at for runs over the next couple of weeks:

Lower Mansfield Canyon (south of town in the Patagonis/Sonoita area) this Sunday the 25th,

Chimney Rock (Pretty sure it's a night run) just North East of town on the 31st as Jim mentioned.

The 31st as of right now is just going to chimney rock, playing and then camping. I am trying to get a run on the chimney rock trail from east to west, ending at chimney rock.

Pics from the 18th when we did Lower Mansfield. You can see the real long grass on a couple pics and the trees that had been washed down the creek. I should have taken more pics of the larger trees blocking some of the creek. Again, it is doable. There was 8 of us and not everyone was locked on 35" tires.

We did do some maintenance to move some of the trees and branches out of the way though.

Yes, I am not camping either, just going to do the trail then hang out with the play area for a little while then head back to town.
