We are leaving the TTT in Tucson at around 10:15 on the 12th. So I figure somewhere around 1100 we should be in Benson. We could either stop there and pick you up or you can hang out on the side of the on ramp and wait for us to pass by. We also are going to stop at the rest stop between Benson and Willcox and you could meet us there. Just let us know when and where.

Since this is an overnite trip and the first part of the trip is only like 3 hours away there is no rush to get there early. The other trips are just day trips and we need to get there early to get home early. Make sense now?

And where is my finger smiley?

I will be on the on ramp waiting for you all to pass at 1045. I will be on channel 4, just give me a heads up when you get to the exit for 90 and I will join you all. No need to pull off the highway and then get back on.

Hey everyone! So I recently invested in an 04 Wrangler and I am interested in making it look a little more macho than stock if that makes sense. I'm not looking for something that that will allow me to cruise over boulders non the less empty my bank account, but something that will increase the looks and ease in the off-roading I'll be doing. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Go test it out first before you mod it. You would be surprised at what stock jeeps can do.

If you are just going for looks, I hear the tucson mall has some nice speed bumps.

x2 try it out. And I'd say a small lift is what you're looking for.

Mornin' All! I'm Jay, another FNG checkin' in. Waiting on the last of the paperwork to clear the bank and hopefully by the end of the day I'll be a 1st time Jeep owner. In negotiations with a dealership here with either a TJ with some work done to it, or a stock JK (though I'd probably have the stealership order/add a light lift and larger tires if I go the JK route). Wish me luck! Looks like I just missed the last meet, but hope to catch ya on the next one!

That's the direction I'm leaning towards. I hate the idea of not knowing who installed the stuff on the TJ and what kind of mcgivering went on during the install. Crossing fingers the bank agrees!

I agree, the stock Jeep would be better. If I had it to do over, that's the route I should have gone. I bought my JKU with mods and ended changing out all of them over time.

In the mean time, I just like to say . . .

Welcome to the forum!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I just got to the dealership and it looks like the JK might be gone unfortunately. I reconnected with my friend Chris (he's around here somewhere, not sure of his sn) and he has graciously offered to check out the tj and see if there's any cause for concern. Hoping to land on something today, been 1.5 weeks in the process, I'm getting antsy!

Hey Fernando, Those are some great pics. That's one run I've been wanting to do for a long time. How do you think my little tires would do on that trail? I have a line on some 32's but it is not definite yet.....

RR are doing a couple of runs going on Saturday and Sunday Locally... Sat out by Tombstone, which I'll probly go on, and Sunday is Red Rock out by Benson... won't be able to do that one. Jim should have the details....

Bill

Ok u can put steel fenders on em but after having a long discussion with bushwhacker about fenders and jk's and tj's I've been informed the inner fender on jk's r still weak and it doesn't take much to have the steel outer fender crush the weak inner fender. Definitely looks better with steel fenders though

I have rubbed my steel against rocks and the rocks gave out before the fenders did.
