Wow what a trip. We didn't see a single person out there. Rug road going up is tougher than going down. Murray and Jon are going out today with someone to rescue their jeep. A completely stock dana 30 can only take so much abuse and not start puking parts out.

Front passenger axle side u joint gave up the ghost. An X in 2 wheel drive goes nowhere. If you are running u joints in the front axle please tack weld the caps on. I think that is what happened to his. The caps fell off and it was all over from that point.

Morning Tucson, Lyle good luck with your lift. That shouldn't take that long to put on.

Hey All. Sorry I disappeared for a bit, got jaded by getting the shaft from the dealer. Got a new Jeep instead of the red one, which was a POS. Don't laugh, I dig it sans the badges and such, but its a 2012 MW3. The mods it comes with are pretty slick, gotta say. Took it through Chimney Rock trail yesterday to scratch the dealer scent off of it . Post pics soon.

I just had my lift installed and I am one Happy camper!

I want to say a thanks to Jon and Murray for their mussels and experience. Also a special thanks to Jon for the use of his facilities.

Looking at the pictures, the lift is subtle but the change in ride is anything but. Since I bought my rig used and with a spacer lift, I never had a chance to drive it stock. After the lift, I seem to float down the road and can see how stiff the Jeep was.

Here are the before (with the 1.75" spacer lift) and after (with the 2.5" RK lift)

Tomorrow we're meeting @ Murray's house and going shopping for toys with the money Joe has gathered (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f45/4xa...on-198543.html)
We are planning on doing something in the afternoon but not sure if the details have been finalized. I'll post back when I have more information.
