I found a way to trick my jeep into getting 23 mpg up from 15 mpg. The problem is I cant get it to stay there. It will run at 23 for a few days then go back to 15. Dose anyone know of a obd2 program I can use to edit settings in the ecu like a/f r, ignition timing, rev limitor and stuff like that? I want to get it back up to 23 mpg or better and all I need is the right software to do it.

Well what is the trick? Not sure on OBD2, have read its a pita to work with though.

what year do jeep's go to obd2?

leaning out = less power, increase knocking, and too much heat

whats the point If you want to end your engines life early then go for it.

How are you tracking your MPG per day to know what you are getting?

i was about to start a thread asking how to up my mpgs...... i know that there are programmers that help out mpgs and power but which one is cheaper and safe for automatic trannys????

He is most likly tricking the ecm to run lean. Then after awhile it learns and adjust for it. If thats what ur doing then thats just dumb. Have fun when you melt a hole in your piston from running really lean.
