2" Lift - Front Vibration/Knocking Issue After Lift

I have had a Pro Comp 2" BB installed on my '05 for nearly a month now (had it installed on 4/04). I have posted previously I was having issues going in to 2nd, 4th, 6th and Rev. That issue appears to have worked itself out.

One other issue I have realized is a front vibration/knocking occurring while driving. It feels like something is coming up and hitting the underside of the Jeep. I haven't been able to pinpoint a time when it occurs, just seems to occur when it wants.

The knocking/banging/whatever you want to call it is very subtle but I can feel it when it occurs under my feet (driver).

Anyone have any ideas where this could be coming from and possibly how to fix it? I only have a TC drop until I can save up money for a SYE/CV but this issue is in the front, not rear, of my TJ.

Thanks in advance!

I put a BB on a jeep. We got a knocking noise on that one. It was the tail pipe hitting the hitch bracket. For what ever reason it ended up that the drive train was moving left/right more than usual. Any way I dropped the T-case 3/4" and that cured it.

Was it something you felt in the front of the Jeep, under the driver floor?

I'm beginning to think something is loose. Kind of hard to determine since i can't be under the jeep while I drive it to observe.

It was felt under the floor with minor vibes and the shift handle had excessive movement. You can do a spacer drop on your T-case rather easily. Some have used a stack of washers to do this. If it doesn't cure it you can always remove it.

When I had the lift installed, they dropped the T-case due to drive line vibes. At least, I assume that's what they did (looks like they dropped the skid plate which, I assume, is the same as a T-case drop).

I will need to check the exhaust to see if that is the issue. I do have a hitch so i wonder if that is it.

Sounds like they did it right. Have you talked to them about it. Because it really could be a number of things. Maybe go back and have them retorque everything they loosened.

Going back may be my only option. I love the lift, just a few small things I need to look at. Only issue is the drive to the shop and the time (not around the corner).

I really need to call them to see what they suggest or when they can take a look.
