Body lift question

I broke off ALL of my shock bolts(Rear/upper). So now I have them broke off in my frame, and the extractor does not cut it this time. I had a thought...

If I decided to get a body lift... would that give me room above where the nuts are welded that the shock bolts fasten to?

Did they break off flush with the shock mount/frame?If so you should be able to drill them out and use regular hardened bolts and nuts to go back.I have had that happen on a blazer and a few others.It isn't easy getting them back in but you will need to put them back wards from what they were.The bolt will have to be dropped down in the frame and the nut on from the bottom because you will never get the nut on if you try it the way they were before.

That is an idea.. tried to stay away from the drilling out idea... but to stay on a budget it seems to be the way to go. Thanks man... that may end up being what I do. I might make my own bracket... but I doubt it. I want my girl on the road... and off

Also if you look to were you are pointing that is a plastic filler in the wheel well.Take that out and you will have a lot more room.Anyway to answer your question yes the BL will give you more of a gap were you are pointing as well.If you take care of the broken bolts at the same time as the install of the BL you should have enough room with the body raised to take an air chisel and knock the nut with the broken bolt off the frame and retack another one on.
