I'm joining the coast guard in January and I've drive a 2003 jeep sahara. My dad is a retired chief and he's got a 2006 unlimited. My brother drives a 2005 rubicon but he's lazy and won't join the military.
I am not current or former but a friend of mine is in the Army and he is the one who got me into jeeps. You might want to check out militaryjeepers.com

First, I hope that your sons, and all other members on active duty remain safe and I would like to extend my thanks for their service.
My wife and I are both prior service Army, 1980 - 84. We have a 2001 Cherokee and a 2004 TJ. We recently sold our '46 CJ2A ... too big a project for us.

I spent 12 years with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Military Police. When I got in we had 1/4 ton Jeeps and then they got replaced by Hummers. Talk about a size difference.
