electrical problems dash

have a 97 wrangler with 2.5 5 spd and the dash is out gauges and all tried to check the pins and ggauges for corosion and noticed that they look good and also noticed prior owner cut into wiring harness and added radio not sure what all he cut havent had the opportunity to tear down further . is there a partial wiring harness that i can maybe just replace such as all cab connections . or do i just need to take the time and sort it all out . would just like to get rid of the mess and start from scratch
