Got a new top!

So I had to replace my torn, filthy, moldy, headliner-separated, broken zippered Saicloth Replace a Top. I decided to go with a Halftop this time around because I really don't have use for the rear area any more (it holds the fuel tank and a battery and some tools now) and I wanted to mask it off. Overall I like the results. Install was a breeze, and the instructions were extremely well written (not that that would make me use em anyways ). To my happiness - the top also cleared my shoulder harness bar beautifully; almost as if it was made for it - which was the one thing I was a bit nervous about before installing this top.

So anyways; just thought I'd share some pics

Man. It looks great. I'm jealous. Might have to trade the YJ. The top is awesome.

Here's a pic that kind of shows what I did; I just followed the curve of the 'crimp' or edge under the hood with about 1/4 to 1/2" of clearance. I decided to cut it close after seeing some other fender trims that had more clearance and you could see the lip from the fender with the hood closed, which I didn't like.

Top and truck look great! Have to keep us updated on the performance. I would love to get one, but I am not sure I can justify the $500 for a new top, when there is nothing wrong with my soft top now...

If you have to ask what it is or what it does, you don't need it, and you will need help to install it!

Certainly - I'll be doing a review on everything in a few months; part of what bugged me before buying it is that apparently nobody has any good pix in their albums or any writeups on them to take a look at.
