| Got some new meats today
got some 31" Trxus MTs and cragar soft 8s put on today. i needed to stay smaller in size b/c i am now driving this thing everyday.
the pics also show my new OEM sunrider soft top from an 06 rubi. mounted perfectly with no modifications needed. i had to buy the soft uppers separate though.
the day i bought it: ('supertop', street tires, and outlaw IIs)
today:
the flares will be going back on ASAP...i had taken them off to paint.
i also picked up another set of Hella 500s (on clearance at Walmart) to mount on the windshield.
i also bought an air compressor and some tools and will be spraying in Herculiner in the next week or two.
i also have a new dash on the way from an 03 TJ in the "agate" (black) color. i will be getting some agate door panels as well as soon as i find some for a decent price.
i will also hopefully be getting some Corbeau front and rear seats very soon.
my initial line of things to do with this jeep was to fix the mechanical problems, get new tires, get a new top, and then fix up the interior b/c it is TERRIBLE.

I like it. I hate my wheels, and I really like those. Being broke sucks.

$1082.11 was the drive out price for 5 wheels, 5 tires, locking lug nuts, and mount and balance.
i brought in a print out from Quadratec (who believe it or not, had the lowest price on the wheels and the tires) to Discount Tire and they price matched and ordered the tires for me. they had the wheels there. they just charged me the $15/tire shipping that Qtec would've charged, but didn't charge me the handling fee.
the wheels were $184.95
the tires were $634.95
the lugs were $50.88
the rest was tax, shipping, and mount and balance.

Nice Jeep... look familiar?
Just put on my bumper caps and need to decide what rocker guards to buy. Only had mine since Dec 26th... so far so good I guess.

the jugs are coming off when i chop the bumper...hopefully this weekend. been short on time lately. had time to pull the flares one day. paint them another. still waiting on the chance to put them back on. they are still there in the first place b/c i was about to buy a new front bumper and wasn't going to waste my time with them, but i decided to get an air compressor instead.
i also have a new set of Hella 500s to mount on the windshield.

O man.
I'm such a noob. When you say milk jugs, do you mean the fog lights or the hooks?
Should I wack mine off too? Can someone post a pic with them whacked off? If I do take them off, I'll do the hammer route just to show off to you guys. |

Loose them, or they will get ripped off from wheeling. You do wheel, right?

yeah they sitck out about 7 inches from where the metal of the bumper ends, they're incae u hit a pedestrian they get puched aside rather than run over, but once they leave teh factory its fine to take them off,
but keep the back ones
nad i also suggest cutting the bumper down to two incches on either side of the fog lights, looks way better (do it an an angle, /-------\ )
