Firstly, I also cross posted this on a rubicon specific forum, just for S.A.G. Figured it wouldn't hurt right?
I just finished attempting to install the hard top wiring kit on my rubi. Obviously, my jeep was originally soft top, and I got the kit directly from Mopar. I hooked it up as per instructions (atleast from what I could tell), paying super close attention to the wiring of the connectors. I also double checked those locations. My problem is, the rear defroster seems to be always on. The orange light wont turn off (Even with the key out), and the rear defroster lines got warm. The harness was basically plug and play, except those 4 wires that go into the connectors. I am thinking either the switch is bad, or theres a relay I am missing, or I tapped into the wrong illumination feed or something. I used the orange/black wire from the middle HVAC control connector, to the orange wire from the harness. Anything you guys can come up with to check, would be awesome. I do not have access to the rear defroster wiring schematics, so maybe somebody could post one, or take a quick gander and see what might have gone wrong? Edit: I had one 10 amp fuse left over, and didn't see anything in the instructions, so I chalked it up to be a spare. Also, I let the light stay on for about 15 minutes before I messed with the switch, and it never went out. I eventually just unplugged it.

Located the source of the problem. It seems the buddy that did the under the dash part for me, broke the spade connector on the black/white wire. guess he didnt take the blue clips out of the harness. He then hardwired the RED wire from the black clip, just left of front middle, into the black white wire. Seems that was also the headlight power wire, found that out leave work yesterday. also the source of my short. Anyway, I guess I am going to have to hardwire this black white wire into the correct wire on the harness since the spade connector is destroyed, and radio shack/advanced doesn't have this connector. Can someone tell me what color wire coming out of the black connector that I need to splice into? If someone has a second to just check where the black/white goes in, and what color comes out, I would appreciate it. thanks.
