Okay, I'm really showing how brain dead I am..I know I had the dash panel off several times to run wiring for a CB mounted up in the change tray...and for the life of me I cannot remember what to do now to pull that panel off (the one on the 03 Rubicon dash where the radio is mounted, fan/ac controls, etc.) I have to get in there to see if the wiring to the locker switch is loose. Can't find any sign of screws anywhere and afraid to really push on it or pry it if it is only 'press fit' since it doesn't seem to move anywhere.
Anyone know how to remove it so I can get to the wiring? Heading off on major jeep run next week where I really need the lockers and my mechanic that would know is on vacation...

If it's the same as my 02...it just pops off I think...

Remove the long strip closest to the windshield. Underneath you will find two screws that you can either use a size 8mm socket or a philips screw driver. Remove those. Then take out your ashtray and behind that you will find another screw/bolt. Remove that and then your dash will come free.

The center dash (around radio and vent controls) then pulls pretty much straight out from some clips. I don't have an ashtray on my 04 so this is the only difference (no screw/bolt to remove).

I don't have an ashtray, had forgotten all about the hidden screws...I'm medically confirmed to be brain damaged so.... :-p
I'll get in and pop off the CB, lift the strip and find those screws. I had the feeling the console 'popped' on and off but couldn't get it to move anywhere so I didn't want to force it and break something.

Thanks for the help. I got the center top strip off and drove around and located my rattle. A nut came off one of the two up-facing bolts, on either side of the instrument cluster. Some loctite, a lock washer, and an M6 nut took care of it. No more rattle!!!!!

Well, instructions worked...as soon as I got the top strip off...I went 'I remember this!'....
got the axle locker switch out (well, my son did) and one indicator light is burnt out. No sign of other problems with the switch but lockers still don't work. Turn the switch 'on' and the indicator lights flash for a bit, you can hear the locker 'pump' relay activate...lights go out. So we'll have to order a new switch and see if anything else in wrong. Can't double check anything with a potentially dead switch.
