| Jeep stock height? Lift?
So I bought my Jeep a couple weeks ago, and I'm wondering if maybe it has been lifted. It feels a bit higher than I remember some others being, but it may just be the 30" tires. Can someone tell the stock height (ground to bottom of door... or something like that) based on a certain size tire?

Looks stock. If I remember, I think ground to front of rocker was around 17" (behind front tire) with stock 30's and ground to back of rocker (before rear tire) was around 18.5-19". I could be off a little though.

this is only slightly off topic, but not by much... sorry
im sure each state will vary, but in utah where i live, the MAXIMUM height a jeep wrangler can be lifted is 24 inches from level ground to the bottom of the frame under the drivers side door. (they break these down by your vehicles Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), i can get into the details if you wanna PM me)
so here is my question; those of you with STOCK wranglers, what is the height from level ground to the bottom of the frame under the driver's door?

We had 3 mechanics plus myself. I only serviced the Wranglers. We had 8 regular Jeepers come in for my work. 2 TJs, 5 YJs and one CJ7.
The TJs were routine maintenance: oil changes, coolant flushes etc.
The CJ7 was also routine, plus a head gasket (4.2ltr)
The YJs were big projects: 2 engine swaps (a 2.5 to a 4.0 and a 4.2 to a 350), the 2.5 to a 4.0 was also a trans swap from AX-5 to an AX-15 and the 4.2 to 350 was a BA-10 to an NV4500.
The other YJs were a mix of transfer case replacement, locker installs and rear axle upgrades.
I miss that damn job

Spanky i haven't measured from the ground to the bottom of the frame but ive measured from the ground to the bottom of the tub on my stock tj. With 215/75/15's it was about 17 inches and with 31's it jumped to about 18.5.
If i had to estimate based on that and where the frame is located id say take off between 4 to 6 inches from the ground to tub measurement and thats the height from the ground to the frame but then again im just estimating.
I'd go check for you but my jeep is in my college parking lot located about 3/4 of a mile away and i'm not feeling that nice today |

how much room does a stock wrangler have to flex, from top of the tire to the fenderguard? back and front if possible.
