I drive a 03 Wrangler soft top. It' the "family car" - doesn't really go off road, I take clients around occasionally, etc. As I near 50k miles, it's time to get some new tires. Mine are 30x9.50
I've been price-checking around, and here's what I've found: Local Shop - Falcon Tires - $585 for four Meineke - Scrambler Tires - $600 for four Local Jeep - Goodyear Tires - $720 for four Local Jeep - Dunlop - $580 for four I need some direction... thoughts... fatherly wisdom. Anyone? |

Best advice I can give...go to a place like tirerack.com and read reviews on the tires you're considering. Get the best reviewed tire within your price range.

I have Goodyears on now, and they are original.
All the prices are about the same - $550-$700. I just don't recognize some of the names, so I'm not sure if it's a bad brand or not. |

Mine came with Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country's, 30 x 9.5. It's a good tire for a DD. Does reasonably well off road, but really well on the road.

I ended up with Scramblers, which are a Cooper Tire product. $600 and I'm happy. Plus, rebalancing is NICE!!

I am on my second set of BFG A/T's between my old YJ and the current TJ. IMO it's the best all around tires for the money. Plus Costco carries them and you get free rotate and balance every 6k
