im starting to do a lot of ring and pinion installations and the last few of them have been a pain due to that stubborn pinion bearing. I usually work with it at the vice, but ive seen kits that pull bearings for like 500 dollars. Then ive seen a puller, well not really, its like a bearing splitter. Its basically like 2 wedges that comes together to slip the bearing away from the pinion. Ive seen a couple write-ups in which they use this tool and this tool is like 45 bucks. Does anyone have any experience with this tool or any bearing puller. I need to get something really bad. thanks
