| removing doors and mirrors question
ive been wanting to remove my doors for the first time this past week but have been wondering about mirrors. i live in michigan and as i understand it i need to some kind of mirrors on the driver and passanger side and was wondering if their are any kind of cheap magnet mirrors so i dont have to drill in to the body? or once i put new mirrors on just leave them on all the time and take the stock mirrors off the doors for winter?
-Thanks EJ

if your looking for a cheap mirror setup I saw this on another thread that I am going to do just to keep IN my jeep in case i get pulled, but I am going to scuff it and give it a little black paint to get rid of the BLING affect of the chrome, they say it only costs about $14 to make and is easily removed. Im prob gonna go with something a little smaller though. Jeep Doorless Budget Mirror Mount |

I did the budget route with my mirrors. I only did the drivers side because that's all you have to have in louisiana. The problem with the relocation bracket is once you put your doors back on, if you aren't careful you will hit it with your door when you open it.

i bought relocation brackets for my mirrors they only cost liek 20 bucks and take about 10 minutes to install, they just removed 2 torx bolts on each side of the wind shield and mount right there i cant rmember where i got them but it was the best buy i ever done, just make sure you take hte old brackets off the old doors so it doesnt look to ghetto when you put your door back on... oh and when you have your windows back in the right mirror will be pretty much useless

Get the quick lock mirrors
they just go in the hinge
then you remove when you
put door back on
also make sure what mirrors you really need

I went to a harley dealer and got a harley mirror. It fits in the door hinge nicely and is easy to take out when you want to put the doors back on. And atleast in oregon it keeps the coppers happy
