sidewall repair

In one of my street tires(35" x-terrain), i have a slash in the side wall about an inch long, its just a slice, no chunks missing just a clean slice. I have been forced to run on my 38" swampers to go to school and work for the past few weeks. I cant stand to see my swampers wear down every day! I need to find another X-terrain or hopefully repair the blown one. Is it possible to repair this tire with some kind of patch or something??

I have repaired a side wall befor but it was close to the tread and I didnt run it very long the side wall flexes it is not a good Idea to run a repared side wall tire

just go get another tire or find a used 35 some where to get you by till you have the money

I had a guy working for me that had a buldge on his sidewall for about six months, it was ugly, but it held. He patched it from the inside.

technically it can be done, but it WILL give way and bust eventually. Just don't know if it will be tommorrow in the school parking lot, or 4 months from now on the highway at 70mph when you forget about it.

Just replace the tire.

x4 or whatever...discount tire says that the sidewall is the "non-repairable" zone.

They have to say that for liability issues.

Up, check around to some of the "Non-Corporate" tire joints in your area and see if any of them can vulcanize a sidewall slice for you. Should hold for just aired up street driving.
