So, I tried searching for this answer before I bought mine and couldn't find anything definitive, so I thought I would post my findings.

I needed to add some sort of netting to the tub for the dog, but I wanted to be able to run a bikini top with it. I chose the Smittybilt CRES... with a $98 price tag I don't think I have to explain why. With it I ordered a Smittybilt Standard (bikini/brief) top with the hopes that they would work together.

First off, let me say, the Smitty brief top WILL work with a Rampage bolt on windshield header. (That was another concern since my full top of choice is the Rampage frameless system)

When I tried putting the CRES on with the brief I found that the straps kind of got in each others way. So I had to get creative.
First, start with installing the CRES. Then put the bikini on so that the rear of the bikini overlaps the CRES's front edge.
The front of the bikini goes in normally, it's when you get to the overlapping part that it gets fun.
The bikini has 4 straps that wrap around the roll bar and one that goes around it and to the footman loop. Run the center (footman) strap through the center hole in the CRES. For the two outer straps take a pocket knife and cut a small slip in the CRES right between the rollbar and speaker pod just wide enough for the strap to go through and proceed to strap it down like normal. The other two straps (the ones between the two outer and the footman strap) I chose not to use. I don't see why they would be needed and they are a pain even if you don't use the CRES.

Here's some pics of the finished install. As you can see, the seam/overlap comes out rather smooth once you poke those two holes in the CRES for the straps. If you have any input or recommendations or whatever... feel free to post 'em.

I run my Smittybilt CRES top with my safari bikini top all summer.

Has anyone been able to figure out how to put on the cres with a 4 door bikini top for the jk? I want to run both but need to think of a creative way to do it because currently the cres uses the channel slots that the bikini top uses. I would have to rig it somehow like you guys did.

Just ordered my Bestop safari top to go with my CRES arrives on tuesday. Are the door surrounds really needed? i didnt order those yet. Hope it looks as good as yours

CRES was right under $100, bikini was $50.

I lucked up and got mine off CL for $60 nib.

I had the guy at 4wheel performance parts tell me today that this couldnt be done. Glad to see it can. I will go back tomorrow and pick up the bikini top that I wanted to buy today.

yes it can be done, just takes a while to make all the straps work,that is what i run in the summer

Lot's of good info in this thread. It's short but it showed me everything I needed to know about the Safari and CRES fitting at the same time. This should be stickied for the people looking at these tops.

can this be done with a soundbar with a domelight? im still new to jeeps, thanks

If you're referring to using both tops at the same time, yes everything covers the sound bar.

The door surrounds are needed if you want the safari top to fit snugly versus around the rollbar.
For the OP, you need to slide the bottom corner back to smooth out the wrinkle, it should line up and strap on the roll bar and not go on the outside of the door surround. You want to be able to use your doors properly when they are back on.
