| Soft top
Hi,
I hope someone could help me. I have a jeep TJ with a hardtop and full doors. I want to buy a used soft top on craigslist. Most of the sellers are saying that all hardware is included, but really I don't know what kind of hardware I need. I think I need a frame and door surrounds. Do I need something to attach the soft top to the windshield?
What else could I need?
I'd appreciate any help
Also.. I found a factory soft top. Is it better or worst than Bestop?

Bestop makes the factory tops, so they are the same quality. As far as hardware, you only need door surrounds if you aren't running doors, afaik. I do believe you need some sort of windshield channel, but not sure on that cause I have only a softtop. You do need the frame.

You also need the brackets that connect to the roll bar but those are easy to come by if they aren't included. I was doing this same exact thing this spring and was attempting to figure out all the necessary parts.
Also check to ensure there's a rear window channel and brackets.....

Finally I've got the soft top . It is OEM/factory soft top for wrangler '01. It has all hardware all of you mentioned, except of the roll bar brackets.. and again I don't know what brackets I need . The soft top is 01, my jeep is 06 and the roll brackets are available either for 97-02 (they fit my soft top) or 03-06 (they fit my jeep). I'm confused. Please don't tell me that this soft top doesn't fit my jeep |

I will go in and ask them how much they will cost if I take them off personally. I'm thinking the shipping would be about the same cost. They ship out ups so, if they have them, I will give you their number and you can pay them and they will ship them out to you. I will take them off if it will save you a couple of bucks.

Chuck | Thanks for your help, but you don't have to. I can buy them on ebay, but just don't know if I should get 97-02 or 03-06.

You need the 03-06. The roll bar padding on the 03+ is thicker. The 03 brackets stick further out towards the rear about an inch to get past the padding.
