Speakers
Thinking about upgrading my speakers. What size are the ones in the front? Also have a speak bar attached to the roll cage. Its stock with just two speakers, do you know what size will fit these too?

The fronts are 4x6 but they can be replaced by 5 1/4 which will sound much better. You will need to get a bracket for the speaker and do a little cutting. The sound bar has 5 1/4 but will fit 6 1/2.

Doing the same thing this weekend, took out the back seat, and building a box for 2-12's and a 15.

They have speakers that you can throw right in there. no stripping, no mods etc. Comes with a factory harness and everything lines up and fits.
190 for front and speaker bar. (89 for sound bar) (99 for front 4*6's)

Get adapters from a fellow Jeeper here... Welcome to NalinMFG.com - Performance is Reality Excellent quality, great customer service and fast shipping. Then you can put 5.25" speakers in the dash, 6.5's fit the soundbar with no adapters. Some require new holes, my Polk Audio's did not.

6.5" screwed into my soundbar with no problems. Used the original mounting holes, too, if I recall correctly. 20 minutes start to finish, and the improvement is obvious.

Some do, some don't. I know the Polk's like IG has mount right in. My alpine Type R did not fit initially. I had to widen out the hole.

I am wondering, what's the different between 2 way, 3 way and 4 way when choosing your speaker. I just ordered a new head unit today and am adding a powered bass tube because it can come out if you need the space. I ordered the adapter plates on ebay and now am deciding which speakers to use. I just don't know what the difference is when making this decision.

I recently installed 2 Kicker 6.5" speakers into the soundbar of my jeep, a small amount of metal had to be trimmed to get them to fit. Wow, what a difference in sound quality compared to my 5.25" RockfordFosgate's.

X2 on the Nalin speaker adapters for the front. A great quality product with a great price. He even includes the hardware which, though a little thing, goes a long way when it saves me a trip to the hardware store. Very happy with them.
I mounted 6.5" Alpine Type R in my sound bar. They fit fine but I did have to drill new holes for the screws.

Interesting! I have Kicker 6.5's in my sound bar and didn't have to cut anything, just make new holes!

I have the kicker 4x6 in the dash, and they are fine, but I just ordered the nalin bracket to take my 5.25 out of roll bar and put them up front. Now I need 6.25 in roll bar. Any suggestions? I like polk, but read a review that said one model had problems falling apart when mounted upside down in a jeep roll bar? I thought polk was good?
I'm running a 4 channel 100x4 amp
