Hey everyone, i have a question. I just picked up this 04 X with the 4.0, and 5 speed. The day after I bought it I started to get a squeel, metal on metal type of sound.

It appears to be coming from about 1 foot in front of the shifter. The squeel goes away under load, and when the jeep is moving. So if I i'm accelerating the sound goes away but the minute I let off the gas it comes back. I had it into the dealer and they changed the front hubs, which didn't help.

Does anybody have ANY idea what else it could be? I was thinking maybe water pump or idler pulley but i'm not sure.

Also, the sound is greatest when making a left hand turn, medium driving straight, and most of the time goes completely away on a right hand turn.
