New to WF. Not exactly new to Jeeps. I have been obsessed with them since I was about 10. I own a Red 1998 TJ 4L. I bought it from a guy in NJ. It has never seen snow and was garaged for its entire life. It has 15x8 ultras wearing 31x10.5 BFG AT. I bought a black replace-a-top for it about a month ago. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for me. I do some off-roading, but i am not looking to make it a trail only rig. also i though of painting the flares but still seem skeptical about painting them a body color. and any suggestions for undercoating besides having a shop do it? thanks

Also anyone in Upstate NY who knows of good off roading places?

Welcome to the forum. Drive it and see what you need to improve. Go from there. As long as it is in good shape, rust wise, I would recommend just putting a coat of por 15 on the frame and undercarriage. That should prevent any rust and take care of any that is there. Krylon fusion in satin black will take care of your flares.
