Hmmmm............so what is the rarest Jeep ? Probably a stock one. Everyone looks at the Jeep platform as an empty canvas, ready to be painted to suit your needs or desires. Look at the debates here on this forum, EVERYONE wants what THEY want and the aftermarket for the most part is there to support it. Not so with the H3. Your going to modify it anyway, go with the best platform. Reviews from desk bound "experts" are little hard to digest anyway. Same with product evaluations, modifications......you get the idea. One day a week of wheeling does not an expert make.

This isn't near as bad as when Motor Trend said the Xterra was a better off roader than the Rubicon They actually marked the Jeep off for having the only real offroad tires in the "extreme 4x4 torture test" which consisted of washed out fire roads really. http://www.motortrend.com/av/roadtest...deo/index.html http://www.motortrend.com/av/roadtest...est/index.html

I've read worse reviews. My Brother likes his silly H3 okay. Poor guy is still jealous of my old (comparatively) jeep. He was slightly miffed when he found out about the H3T as it is the best looking H3....his is damn ugly. and he knows it. haha
I'm hoping we can take them both out to the nearest offroad park and see if I can get him stuck what are brothers for?

The bummer h3t would have lost if they hadn't put it up against a fake Jeep. Have a rematch with a TJ and back and they'll change their tune.

Give the guy a break . . . I'm sure he's paid to "spin" things a certain way. I do the same $hit at work all day myself and chances are most of you do too. Having been out on the trail with a few Hummers, the H3 is a huge improvement over the H2 at least . . . when the H2's hit the trail, it's time to grab a chair and something to drink cuz you won't be going anywhere for a while!!!

I think the H2's are hideous when it comes to looks and performance.l I saw a sticker: If I wanted a hummer . . . I'd ask your mom!!!

actually they need to get real people out their that know how to four wheel. Because city slickers behind the desk don't know their a$$ from a whole in the ground. I've seen a stock 4 door and 2 door JK preform way better then what they put theirs through. and the places we go there's no way in hell the H3T would even fit.

Even on a pretty easy trail that a stock Jeep would get thru with a bit of spotting was an absolulte chore for the H2s which needed all sorts of stacking and straping. Both are sad excuses for an offroad vechile and I see very few redeeming qualities in either.

H1's are badass military grade off road vehicles, but aren't anything like a H2 or H3 which is really a Yukon with a body kit and some other gizmos.

I'm going to throw in my $.02 from the opposite perspective... I'm a guy who's done extensive wheeling in a real HMMWV, and very little in my TJ. I've used a veritable plethora of platforms... everything from M998's to M1097's to M1151's, in no-joke combat missions waaay the hell away from anything in the middle of the desert.
Of course, on the road, bigger is always better. An 1151 up-armored HMMWV... good. 20+-ton MRAP... even better. But as soon as I left the pavement, the tables turned. I would have taken my TJ a million times over out there in the middle of the desert.
Say what you want, but the smaller rig has amazing advantages. The power in an MRAP was amazing. But take on off-camber turn, leaning at 20% in a HMMWV and you'll be pining for a jeep. Look at it this way... if you take a stroll around an Army installation, you'll se dozens of Jeeps and maybe one or two Hummers.

Alright,
I read this on Edmund's and I totally believe it.
" If you can't get there in a Rubicon, you need a helicopter. "
PERIOD.
That period is my part.

| i will never buy another gm as long as i live
i will try to make this short 3 years ago i bought a brand new hummer 4 wife as gift. at 10k miles heater core goes, at 15k miles ecu goes , truck gets towed and driver damages undercarriage, dealership chips fender and gets grease on off white headliner. they keep truck 3 weeks to fix chip and h/l and gm says i have to take care of my damages thru tow company (who is a sub contractor) so a customer that paid c 60k for a car they do not take care of customers beware of gm they belong bankrupt!
