Throwout bearing problem?

Hey guys, three months ago I put a used (30,000 miles) nv3550 in my wrangler with a new clutch, pilot bearing and throwout bearing. It was running fine with no noise. today it starts making a horrible metal ginding noise only when i step on the clutch. It stops when i let the clutch out. I'm thinking its the throwout bearing. Anyone been through this before or have any ideas? I hate to have to drop the tranny again, thanks
