don't trust em...+ more stress on the axle

if anything get a wheel with the certain backspacing you need

I got the lug adapters / wheel spacers from 4wd.com and they're awesome. I check em every few weeks to make sure they're still nice and tight and have been thus far. I love the extra wheel base and 1.25" the tires stick out. My tires stick out about 3-3.5 inches past the fenders and they're on 10.5s and I love the look (yea I know its illegal in some states) and love watching water/mud rainbow past my windows.

I love that look and will be going for that on my jeep eventually. I'm assuming since your from MA it is legal there, currently I'm going to school in CT but live in MA so hopefully it'll turn into a reality for my jeep soon

Bought 2 pair from rough country, they are great! Haven't have any problems, plus like the little extra bit of stabilithy. Found the same thing at other venders, and rough country has the best price.

I've been running 1.25" wheel adapters/spacers for over 2 years now with zero issues. I don't use Loctite but I do check my torque settings every time I rotate my tires at 3,000 miles. So far the torque has held at 95 ft lbs since I installed the adapters.

Some tire shops will not touch your wheels if you state you have wheel spacers. My tire shop told be they would not work (rebalance) on my tires when I told them I had wheel spacers on. I told the manager that the spacers were actually pretty stout and I didn't see the concern, the manager said he would go and see for himself. When the manager returned he informed me that I wasn't running "spacers" but what was on my wheels were "adapters" - difference being that adapters had studs on them while spacers were just like a big washer without studs. Apparently this was acceptable.

Good info, this is also a good read: Jeep Wheel Spacers by Performance Wheel and Tire

It suggests to avoid those "spacers" that you mentioned

Forget spacers ....do wheels with the correct offset for what you are trying to accomplish..

For on road use and light offroading they´re ok. I had them on my old TJ for +7 years and there never was a problem.
