Need help catching a theif in upstate ny

Some of you know and some don't. Well, I'm a state trooper and I need help, helping a fellow jeeper who's JK was stripped. This jeep was parked on Daniels rd in greenfield with a broken lower control arm mount. Last week when I was mtn biking, I parked beside it. Sometime from then until now, someone stole his mamba

wheels with 35 inch nitto trail grapplers. They also completely trashed everything inside, including the ignition. I think they may have had plans on taking the entire jeep. Not only is he a fellow jeeper, he's also an active duty navy member, based here in Milton. If any of you see or here anything about these tires and wheels, please let me know . I do ask that you do NOT take anyone action on your own though. Just get a plate number and location and pm me. Thanks again

Last week when I first saw it, I noticed a decal from another forum on it. I put a post on that forum in hopes that he'd see it and reach out to me. I wanted to help him weld his bracket, so he could get it out of there. Four days later, the jeep was stripped. Click image for larger version

Why didn't he just pull off the control arm and drive it?
