I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L engine that has 349,000 miles in it. For a while now, I've been having this 2 inch play on my steering wheel. I drove my jeep so much that I didnt even noticed it until one day, my sister borrowed it and mentioned it to me.

I did not do any work on the steering wheel except replace the steering wheel to a small one, steering shock to RANCHO (twice already) & finally last week, I replaced the Steering Gear and pitman arm. But I still have that play on the steering wheel. Any suggestions on this matter, folks?

I would tighten every thing up that had to do with it. Also have a friend turn the steering wheel, while you are underneath, look to see where the coloumn stops moving. For example the colomn may be moving right with the wheel untill it gets to the steering box and then when it comes out it is not. THat is where your play is then.

and also you should post this in the other section b/c only people that live in MA will see this post
