A few cans of paint and the kids should have them looking like you want in no time

actually upon further review............I think the wife and I are going to take a cruise up to Jemez and look around. Changed spark plugs yesterday and in case anybody is wondering 102K is probably all you can get. I could not believe it was even starting, much less running as well as it did.

Zen- you can get those torx bits at harbor freight. You need a set with 40,45,50. $15-20.

Wish I could cruise up there. Going to a birthday party with the kids.

awesome drive. Didn't do any offroad but cruised up to Los Alamos and back and had late lunch and a beer at Los Oso.
Sunday at Puerco? I think JT said he was in after 11. I am going in about 9 or so from I40 side. Cool trail back from there to waterfall area.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superchips

Not a new company. Since 1977 they've been working with performance racing teams to develop their technology. I know superchips is a great product on the drag strip. If it were my pocket book with the funds I would have already placed my order. It looks to have some great geek features. No personal experience other than word of mouth for Mustangs and Corvettes.

Will anyone be at Puerco on Saturday? Can't go Sunday; Mother's Day you know.

My brother will be in town on Saturday and wants to go out. May even have his jeep. Not sure how early they will be here.

I think I bought the wrong antenna for my CB. Maybe it's too short! I've jacked around with everything I know and the best I can get is 2.0 on either end. Anyone have any 4' or 5' antennas layin' around?

Oh, it has to be a 10-11 meter antenna rated for 100W.

2 is not bad, you can try my antenna on it and see it it helps. Usually it's an antenna ground problem.

Nah, it's grounded very well. I know where there's a longer one I can borrow, thanks though. I'll let you know.

Ok, so I checked it with a "real" SWR meter and it's okay. Guess the inline meters aren't that reliable..

Channel 19 is what all the Truckers use, pretty much the universal channel. 9 is the emergency channel. This forum has a lot of good info. Maybe do a search for cb lingo if your dad didn't have one in the '70's. All the weird stuff is pretty much dead but there are still a few old guys around.

What part of town are you in?

Cool. I'll keep checking 13 when putting around town and 4 when I'm out in the rio.
