For those that maybe interested gonna try and put together a run in the south Mazonos Mnts. Hoping to get the details worked out this week on forest closures, private gates, ect, to insure we don't get into or have any problems. This is a great trail that go's from the west side over the top to the east side and we will end up at Red canyon camp ground. This trail is about 25 to 30 miles. This is mostly a unmaintained road / trail that will eventually connect to FS Rd 422. Being that is unmaintained no telling what we may encounter. Wench & recovery gear maybe needed but not required. Best I can recall its got a few steep areas and wash outs, mixed rocky areas with sandy washes. Don't think it will be anything to hardcore but it should be a fun day wheeling. This will be an all day run (6+ hrs) so plan accordingly. More info to come, just wanted to see what kinda feed back everyone has. Let me know if your interested. If there is enough interest I will start a Thread.

I am interested, but I am sure like most...it will just depend on when the run is.

I'm in depending on what day, work doesn't really like to give me a heads up on what day I get off. Typically Saturdays.

Well with the closures, I'll plan this Manzano run later in the summer. Maybe after monsoon season they will lift the fire restrictions and open back up.
Thanks for the link abqtj.
